Should Juvenile Offenders Be Tried As Adults? PRO-Minors or not, no excuse for murder

For the past weeks the American public has been confronted with young children taking part in heinous crimes in America. These crimes that these young children are participating in are taking lives of other young children.

One case that has been very much publicized in the media is the young 14-year-old boy who killed a six-year-old girl. According to his mother and his lawyer, the boy was imitating wrestling and it was an accident. He did not mean for this to happen.

Well, that’s nice and all, but that is not going to bring that little girl back or ease her parent’s suffering. Why is the only controversial topic in this case whether this boy should have been tried as an adult?

The law now is that if you are 13 years old, you can be tried as an adult.

Some people would argue that these kids were playing and that it just went too far. It does not take a genius to know when another person is in pain. At the age of four, children understand what pain is and what it looks like. This little girl suffered injures on the outside of her body and the inside of her body.

Some people think just because this boy is a kid, he should not be punished. He should just get a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again. This was an adult crime. This girl was hit and body-slammed repeatedly.

Boys and girls are different, so a boy should be taught not play roughly with a girl. It is a proven fact that women happen to be weaker in strength than men are. When boys are young, they are taught not to pick on girls and not to hit girls.

Yes, it is sad to hear that this boy will spend the rest of his life in jail and that he will not stand a chance in jail. Too bad. What chance was this little girl given? Her life is cut short due to this boy who was just out of control. To have to die that way, to be beaten to death, would be a terrible death.

Now there is the case in San Diego of a boy who killed students because they picked on him and stole his skateboard. So many people in this world have had something taken from them or been teased without turning around and killing someone.

So what gives this person the right to pick up a gun and blow someone’s head off? Then after the person is dead, the person expects to be a kid again?

No, you did an immoral adult thing, and now you must pay. No one said life was easy, and if someone is bothering you to the point where you think you must kill him or her, seek therapy.

Minors should be tried as adults to stress the point that if you do a crime, you are going to be punished, regardless of your age. By saying that minors should not be tried as adults, we are allowing minors to keep killing.

Im actually a 17 year old girl. I am so aginst trying teens or young kids as adults, and i am doing a report on this subject for school. Yes this kid is a boy but that dose not change any thaing he thought he was just playing. then it turned out all wrong. you have to think this boy did this on accident. He has to live with killing this girl for the rest of his life. NOw he has to live with it in jail; thinking about all the stuff that he had to look forward to in the rest of his life. Also kids that do somthing like stealing or somthing like that if the get tryed as an adult and get put in jail. these kids arnt going to come out of jail all good they are going to be around tuff criminals and they will pick up there bad habits. its a proven fact i have read around that kids that are tried as adults come out of jail worse then they go in....
not a complete right-wing nutjob

this is an entirely messed up situation, but no 14 year old boy should have to spend 50 years or so in an adult prison. yes, that's where they end up. he'll most likely spend the rest of his life abused or even killed at a young age. there are punishments that work better with the adolescents mind than taking away his life. theyre especially made for a young adults mind. im not condoning his behaivior but he shouldnt have his life taken away for that.

I agree with your statement. If I had a little girl (which I might be expecting soon) I would want that
boy that killed my little girl to pay the price. Also parents should teach there children that it is wrong for
them to hit, body slam, or just rough house somebody. You are not a bad person, you are just writing
for what is right in justice. Yes I am sorry for that boy who will be spending his life in prison.

i think that your a heartless douschbag

there is no way that he should recieve life in prison

im not saying that he shouldnt be in trouble but at such a young age there are better punishments than life

from what ive read about this case he was a shy kid and he like to watch wrestling

it doesnt take a genius to know that if a boy see something he likes he will immitate it

i do feel bad for the little girs parents

and i do feel bad for the boys parents

and i feel bad for you cause when you wrote this article you lost your humanity

people like you are the reason people cant stand the world
