Brazil, five Central American republics, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence during the month of September. History Department Professor Fernandez will give an historical explanation of the key causes, persons, events, and dynamics behind these independence movements, focusing this year on Mexico and Chile. All staff members and students are invited to attend. September 15 from 11AM-12:30PM in LC 155.
