Professor Anthony Fortner, from the Woodworking Manufacturing
Technology went from 80 students in 1992 to over 500 students in an
eight-year period.
His production design team class is responsible for making the products
of the offices in Cerritos College.
The energy and the excitement of the students made the program possible
because they design the project, plan it, make the product and they also
install it.
Prof. Fortner said, “This class has made over 600 tables for the
Learning Resource Center. The tables downstairs in the computer lab
were all made here in this shop. The value of this class is
immeasurable.”

Among the different services it offers, the Transfer Center will be holding a Mini University Fair, which will be held April 13 from 10am-1 pm along the library sidewalk.
Web authors can now become Content Management System certified and can receive a free 1 GB USB flash/ thumb drive with the Cerritos College logo printed in it.
The 4th Annual Career Expo & Job Fair will be Tuesday, March 23 in front of the library from 9:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. It will feature Job and Internship information; students can network with employers from different companies.

With spring break right around the corner, the Transfer Center here at Cerritos takes advantage of the free time and organizes a trip to Northern California to visit three major universities.
The Career Services Center and Re-Entry Resources Program are holding a Undecided/ Undeclared workshop to provide students assistance on choosing a major that will suit them.

With support from Faculty President Dr. Linda Lacy and Operations Manager Arcadio Avila, the Rotaract Environmental Club has established a pilot recycling program on campus in collaboration with Green Earth Recycling.
The Adult Education & Diversity Program had received a $141,400 grant from the California Community Foundation on Nov. 1 of last year. The grant is going to be used in a two-year period to pay teachers to teach in the workplace.
