Pedestrian hit by a car on Studebaker Road Oct. 23.
A feamale student from Cerritos Community College was hit by a car while she was jaywalking across Studebaker Road from Home Depot Plaza to College.
She was injured and taken to the hospital that morning right after the accident happened. The driver of the car that hit her was not a student or faculty staff from College.
Police Dispatcher Garza said that this accident happened out side the College area and it is handled by county shriff, Cerritos station.
School police station was notified and waiting for the accident report from Shriff. Garza said she can't release any more information about the victim rather than the gander and confirm that the victim is a student at College.
The safty issue was brought up again by shriff. Jaywalking is dangerous and will get a ticket if caught.
