Are you a creative writer with a passion for writing scary stories, and need some extra cash?

The Cerritos College English Department is hosting its third annual short and horrifying story writing contest.

Stories need to be under 750 words and scary. A short film script is also acceptable but needs to be seven pages or less.

Several entries will be chosen and published in Ghost Stories. The English Department is awarding up to $300, with each student whose story gets published getting $50.

The deadline to summit your scary story is on Oct. 22

Submissions may be e-mailed in MS Word or screenplays in CeltX to Roger Ernest or Dr. Frank Gaik.
