Members of the feminist movement ought to demobilize individuals who invade people’s personal space by any means necessary; shout at the perpetrators to scare them, call the police, burn a bra (or don’t because they’re expensive); band together in solidarity to snuff out catcalling before it starts and in doing so to protect the youth from misogyny!
Rape culture is a term ingeniously coined by feminists in the 1970’s to describe the wide array of methods by which the patriarchy normalizes and minimizes acts of rape and other kinds of sexual assault.
