The Cerritos women’s basketball came to a close game with El Camino College with a final score of 67- 57 on Jan. 14.

Head Coach Karen Welliver said, “We did better in the second half than we did in the first half… We should have gotten a hand up on them a little bit more.”

The Falcons had great momentum in the last 15 minutes of the game but it wasn’t enough to strike the El Camino Warriors down, although they were calling plenty of timeouts to distract the Falcon’s drive.

Cassidy Carrillo, guard, said that they needed to pick up their defense a lot more.

While forward Sydney Lopez, said that the team needs to be on the same page and work on their shots to defeat Long Beach City for next week’s game.

It was a 10 point let down for Cerritos but overall the Falcons had great positive outlook despite the loss.

The Falcons square off against Long Beach City College in a conference match-up at Falcon Gymnasium on Jan. 16 at 5 p.m.

Spring 2015 I am short, sweet and simple. I enjoy eating bananas and I definitely try to eat more avocados. I think humming birds are my good luck charms and my hero is Frida Kahlo. I am inspired by many famous photographers such as Dorothea Lange, Albert Esiensted, Steve McCurry and Annie Leibavitz. I consider myself a candid portrait photographer, although I thrive in other photographic areas as well, my photographic passion is portraiture. I hope that one day my pictures will be able to change the world in a great positive way.
