‘Merry Wives’ arrive at Cerritos

The Cerritos College Theater Department held auditions from Aug 18-20, for the upcoming play “The Merry Wives on Windsor” by William Shakespeare.

The play is a comedy play written by the famous playwrite in 1602. It is based on the fat Sir John Falstaff. It also deals wih th middle class like in the Elizabethian era.

As of Aug. 24, the cast list will be as followed:

  • Steven Luna as John Rugby 
  • Emmanuel Plascenia as Sir Hugh Evans
  • Angelica Guardado as Hostess of the Garter  
  • Jason Falske as Sir John Falstaff’s Page
  • Paul Tully as Bardolph
  • Mark Martinez as Pistol
  • Johnathan Flores as Nym   
  • Brandon Gillette as Fenton
  • Hugo Martinez as Justice Robert Shallow
  • Tyler Tingley as Abraham Slender
  • Joseph Serrano as Peter Simple

J. Elandor Packwood will be directing the play.

The first showing will be on Oct. 30 at 8 p.m.
