Cerritos College beginning and advanced stage makeup instructor Susan Wantanabe took some of her students to Knott’s Scary Farm’s Halloween Haunt in order to experience what goes on behind the scenes with the makeup application for Halloween Haunt’s monsters on Thursday.

Theater arts major Mardell Becerra was one of the students who helped apply makeup on a monster.

“This was fabulous,” Becerra said referring to the trip. “It was motivating, it shows that you can more. It was so worth coming.”

Wantanabe has been taking her stage makeup students every year to Knott’s Scary Farm in order to gain professional experience outside of Cerritos College.
