December is finally here and the countdown to Christmas has already started.

Music has a big role during this season, so what are the top 10 Christmas songs you can’t have missing on your playlist?

  1. It has definitely have to be “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” by Canadian singer Michael Buble. You can find it on the Christmas the special edition album which has been out in stores since last year.
  2. The Canadian pop singer Michael Buble takes this position with his “Christmas [baby please come home]” song. The album was released in the year 2011.
  3. “Mistletoe” by Colbie Caillat. The song is part of her Christmas in the sand album and has been a track in a few movies.
  4. “Jingle bells” by the Fox comedy-drama series Glee. The song can be considered way more upbeat and exciting than the original version.
  5. It is the remake of “Santa baby” from Taylor Swift’s holiday collection album. It has a county mix into the song and more of the Swift innocent personality.
  6. For the ones who prefer more of a traditional hymn with the calm and soothing melody, you will love the song “Carol of the bells.” It was part of the Home Alone movie soundtrack from the early 90s.
  7. Mariah Carey with “All I want for Christmas is you.” This song was released in 1994 and to this day it is still so popular that it is part of the Billboard 2012 holiday songs chart. Most people can relate to her lyrics in this song, describing that she did not care for the Christmas presents or the lights, all she wanted was to spend time with her significant other.
  8. We are taking it a little way back to the 50s, Frank Sinatra with “Let it snow.” Your Christmas spirit will definitely be brought out along with childhood memories.
  9. For the Destiny’s Child fans, the song “8 days of Christmas” is a must. It is not the typical Christmas song, it is pop with the R&B-hip hop Destiny’s Child touch.
  10. Selena Gomez takes this position with the unforgettable “Walking in a winter wonderland.” This song is really catchy not only for Gomez’s fans but it is a duo with the American pop band from Hollywood called The Scene. It is very different from your traditional carols that’s for sure.
