Deadmau5, also known as Joel Zimmerman remains a prominent figure in the EDM world as he sold out five Los Angeles shows from his North American Cubev3 tour from Sept. 25th to the 29th at the famous Hollywood Palladium.

Along with Deadmau5, his mau5trap prodigies Monstergetdown and i_o also performed leaving fans wanting more as they danced the night away.

As concert go-ers arrive at the gig they have the opportunity to get food, beer and mixed drinks as they mingle with family, friends and fellow EDM fans.

Besides foods and drinks, fans could also buy merch from their favorite DJs. Ranging from colorful deadmau5 shirts to dark imagery sweaters from i_o.

Los Angeles-based DJ, Monstergetdown, was the first to perform playing his most popular songs like; “Processed,” “My Mind is Gone,” and his latest song “Red Moon Deal.”

At first glance it’s noticeable how he seamlessly switches up his songs from a groovy atmospheric techno/house music to heavy bass lines fans can head bang to.

Concert go-ers were excited to see him but not compared to his most dedicated fans who would hype the DJ along as they danced and enjoyed the blue and white light show.

Next to perform was L.A based techno-DJ Garret Lockhart, aka i_o, he produces music that is dark and immersive yet melodic.

In addition to his unique sound, his most recent album, “House of God,” has vocal elements which made fans thrilled to hear from him as well.

It’s clear that once i_o started playing his old songs and new like; “Possession,” “Low,” and “Come with Me” along with his black and white computer virus themed light show. People were eager to move along to his music.

After an amazing set from the two DJs, Deadmau5 was ready to perform.

He starts off his set with fun facts about himself, his Cubev3 production, and silly facts in general to lighten up the crowd for the songs to come.. and it was worth the wait.

Deadmau5 introduced his Cubev3, his most complex production changing positions from 90 degrees into 45 degrees and rotating 360 degrees created by Chris Schroeder Productions, Collyns Stenzel and himself according to Live Nation.

Along with the impressive production, Deadmau5 designed mind bending imagery to go along with his music.

He played his most notable songs like; “Ghost n Stuff,” “I Remember,” “Strobe,” and “Monophobia” the list goes on.

Deadmau5 even had two special guests on stage Canadian singer, Lights and German singer, SOFI.

Lights and Deadmau5 performed their notable collaboration, “Raise Your Weapon” making the crowd jump and dance with excitement.

Not only was that a fun collab to witness, SOFI and Deadmau5 joined together to perform, “Sofi Needs a Ladder.” (The irony that SOFI’s name is in the song title.)

Not only was this event about the music but also the fun and impressive light shows that would light up the dark venue filled with people that went to see their favorite musician of their generation.
