“The Last Song” is another bestseller by Nicholas Sparks, the author of “A Walk to Remember” and “The Notebook.”

It debuted as No. 1 on both the USA Today and the New York Times bestseller lists.

The main character, Ronnie, goes through her first expierience of true love, her father’s illness and her parent’s divorce through one remarkable summer.

It is a tearjerker, as all of Sparks’ previous novels.

This novel was actually written as a screenplay, before Sparks converted it into his longest novel to date. The movie is set to be released in the Spring of 2010.

The main character will be played by Miley Cyrus. And the rest of the cast includes Kelly Preston Greg Kinnear, Bobby Coleman, Liam Hemsworth. It will be directed by Julie Ann Robinson.
