Netflix’s ‘Daredevil’ Season 3 is a must-watch!

‘Daredevil’s third season had a rough start, but quickly picked up the pace with its notable quick action scenes, amazing storytelling and well-written characters that make this season the best one by far!

This season provides a dark and emotional roller-coaster of redemption for each of characters, especially for the shows main character Matt Murdock, played by Charlie Cox.

The season begins right after “The Defenders” finale, Murdock is left in a death state following the Midland Circle collapse leaving him questioning his faith and having an identity crisis.

This introduces Joanne Whalley’s Sister Maggie, a bluntly honest nun, to be Murdock’s voice of reason when he was at his lowest.

Their interactions are interesting to watch as they speak about religion and becoming a better person. Throughout the series, we learn how important Murdock’s relationship with Sister Maggie really is.

Although, this part of the series feels a bit slow as we see Murdock moping around, it is much needed when it comes to the final episodes.

It is only until episode 4, “Blindsided” it begins to pick up with an epic fighting scene at a prison orchestrated by none other than Wilson Fisk.

From jailhouse to penthouse, Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, manipulates the FBI to protect him and essencially use as an army to take down his numerous enemies including Daredevil.

He also introduces Daredevil’s newest foe, Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, played by Wilson Bethel, disguised as the fake Daredevil.

Bethel’s performance as Dex is frightening as we learn what kind of an individual becomes.

Fisk uses Dex as the fake Daredevil to commit heinous crimes knowing damn well that it will tarnish the real Daredevil’s reputation.

His performance, although cringey at times, Fisk leaves his mark on Murdock’s friends Karen Page, Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, along with new characters like Special Agent Nadeem that want to take him down.

The dynamic between Murdock, Page and Nelson is complex yet compelling. Murdock, is the stubborn one that pushes his friends away and sometimes can be a seen as a bad friend, in order for his loved ones to be safe.

Page, played by Deborah Ann Woll, and Nelson, played by Elden Henson, refuse to stay away from Murdock despite of being vulnerable to Fisk, they all help each other.

This doesnt mean that they aren’t scared or even try to run away sometimes when they come face to face with Fisk, they both still come back for one reason.

Bringing justice.

Special Agent Nadeem, played by Jay Ali, had an interesting introduction into the world of Daredevil. Nadeem’s first appearance is portrayed as a family man which makes us think. Why is he here?

We later learn in episode 9, “Revelations” reshapes the whole series and the role Nadeem takes part of is finally revealed.

This season emphasizes that although many of the characters are going through different paths they all come together for the bigger picture, to take down Fisk and dismantle his organization.

Each of the character’s performance is unforgettable and should make any Daredevil fan excited to see what will become of these characters.
