CERRITOS COLLECTS
Highlights from the Permanent Collection
October 29, 2019 - December 13, 2019
One of the benefits of moving the Cerritos College Art Gallery into the new Fine Arts building in early 2017 was the addition of space dedicated to holding and protecting the gallery's growing permanent collections. In the last three years, the gallery has accepted donations of works from faculty, current and alumni students, and numerous local contemporary artists. While these objects are open to students and the general public for study via appointment, for much of the time they remain carefully stored away. During the upcoming exhibition, Cerritos Collects, many of these works will be taken out of storage and put on public display, some for the very first time. Objects on display include paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, ceramics, and limited edition artist books.
