Keanu  0:01

Hello falcon fans and welcome to the K&D sports talk show. I’m your host Keanu

Derek  0:06

I’m Derek

Keanu 0:07

switching over to the new Football League that came out this past Saturday, The AAF

Derrick  0:15

Did you get a chance to watch any of the games?

Keanu 0:17

I only watched just a part of a one game.

Derrick 0:21

Oh okay

Keanu  0:22

I think it was Arizona and Birmingham

Derrick 0:25

Oh Okay

Keanu  0:27

Speaking of Arizona and Birmingham, Birmingham defense shines in the win as they beat Arizona.

0:35

Week One for the 2019 Alliance American football is finally in the books even with an average of nearly 3 million viewers for the first two games on Saturday night. There are two more games today to keep the party going. First up on CBS was the Memphis express and the Birmingham iron, which ended up as the ugliest game of the weekend. That was followed by more entertaining shootout between Salt Lake City Stallions and the Arizona Hot Shots. Some of the big names today include Iron running back Trent Richardson and quarterback Luis Perez as well Hotshots receiver Rashad Ross.

1:13

The Hot Shots pull way behind Walford and Ross. It Was a close game at halftime ended up being a big win for Arizona. The Hot shots scored a pair of third quarter touchdowns to lead 35-16 as part of a 38-22 victory.

1:27

The connection between quarterback john Walford and receiver Rashad Ross was outstanding as Ross has a team best 103 yards receiving to go along with two touchdowns. Wallford scoring pass to Jarrell Presley made a 19 point game and the Hot shots took control for the rest of the game.

Derrick 1:46

Wow. Arizona and salt lake in a firm fun shootout, Scoring has been at a premium for most teams this weekend. Which is not all that unexpected. However, the Hot Shots and stallions are engaging in what looks to be some good old fashioned

*Derrick and Keanu laughs*

2:13

Arizona got on the board first with an easy pitch and catch from quarterback John Woodford to tight end Gerald Christian. Then the stallions equalized with a with a touchdown from running  running back Matt Asiata to make it 8-8 but following a muffed punt by Salt Lake, the Hot Shots capitalize to make it 18-8 eight thanks to that beautiful deep ball pass from Woodford with Salt Lake adding a late touchdown before the half to make to make it 19-16 the first half was it

Keanu 3:01

damn so it look like a pretty good game then

Derrick 3:03

Yeah, I would like to see like some of the rules that they have

Keanu 3:08

Yeah

Derrick 3:09

Maybe we could

Keanu 3:09

there is a there was a shot a d-end put on the quarterback, I forgot which teams it was but the quarterbacks helmet flew off

Unknown Speaker  3:21

and he was drilled into the ground. Now if that was NFL, that definitely would have been a penalty unnecessary roughness.

Derrick 3:30

Oh yeah

Keanu 3:31

targeting you know maybe this is this can be like actually real football you know

Derrick 3:38

Yeah

Keanu 3:39

definitely

3:41

Trent Richardson overcome slow start with two touchdowns. Trent Richardson is the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts running back former running back who got off to a slow start with eight carries for 17 yards through the first half. His third quarter wasn’t looking any better with the lost fumble on one of his better runs of the day. However Richardson finally found the endzone in the fourth quarter to put the iron up 15-0 and scored the ensuing two point version.

4:09

He also had a late game touchdown, his second of the day to finish with 56 yards in a 26-0 victory

Derrick  4:17

that’s not too bad

Keanu  4:18

Yeah, I remember he was he was pretty solid on with the browns

Derrick 4:22

Yeah he was

Keanu 4:24

where he was uh..  He was one of the main guys back then for the browns

Derrick 4:30

Oh yeah.

Keanu 4:31

Yeah

Derrick  4:32

Story continues below advertisement

I know even Jeff Fisher even coaching in this league too.

Keanu 4:33

Yeah

Keanu 4:36

A lot of former NFL players like Matt Asiata. He played for the Vikings I think. Vikings and Lions

Derrick 4:39 4:43

Yeah

4:43

Michael Baker he was supposed to be like a coach but I guess they decided to change his position. So it’s going to like help develop players which is which is a good thing

Keanu 4:57

that’s pretty good.

Derrick 4:58

He’s still making money *Derrick laughs*

Keanu 5:00

Yeah, yeah he is

Derrick 5:02

should we transition down to the Cleveland Browns.

Keanu 5:06

Yeah, okay

Unknown Speaker  5:10

Yesterday the Cleveland Browns sign troubled running back Kareem Hunt *Derrick laugs*

5:16

A source for ESPN  Adam Schefter told that

Hunt signed a one year contracts up to a million dollars. He’ll  be a restricted free agent after the contract expires meaning the browns control his right after next season.

Derrick 5:29

dang..

Keanu 5:30

The chiefs released Kansas City Chiefs released Hunt in December after video surface that showed him shoving and kicking a woman last February at his residents in Cleveland. He neither was arrested nor faced charges for the for the February incident. He also was accused of punching a man in June.

Derrick

You remember that?

Keanu  5:50

No I don’t remember him punching a man in June

Derrick 5:52

I didn’t either. I know I saw the video of the woman.

Keanu 5:56

Yeah I did too

5:58

the NFL placed Hunt on the commission exempt list  shortly before he was released. He’s not eligible to plan so the NFL completes his investigation to the incidence in the decision of potential discipline has made. A source close to the situation told ESPN Dan Graziano excuse me that the discipline that process was still ongoing and nowhere near done.

Keanu  6:21

A source told oh go head

Derrick 6:23

how long it can take with this investigation? It’s been months already.

Keanu  6:27

I don’t know I mean, from what I’ve seen in the video I seen he he definitely like kicked the woman on the ground

Derrick 6:37

Yeah

Keanu 6:38

but that’s all I see. I see it as one kick and then I don’t know. That’s that’s pretty much what I seen from the video

Derrick 6:46

Yeah

Keanu 6:47

I didn’t see him doing anything else because I know there was there was a guy holding him back

Derrick 6:52

Yeah their was

Keanu & Derrick 6:53

Yeah.

Keanu  6:54

Which is good because I think if you would have done more stuff so that a girl he would’ve possibly be put in Prison or given time you know

Unknown Speaker  7:05

career would have been over.

Derrick 7:07

It’s a wrap

Keanu  7:08

He’s a great player for the Chiefs or former chief? You know he didn’t he was definitely a running back to definitely a break records. I mean, look at his rookie year.

Derrick 7:19

Yeah that’s true

Keanu 7:20

His rookie year

Keanu & Derrick 7:21

he was a beast

Keanu 7:22

Definitely.

Derrick  7:24

Hunt now that Hunt now that he has signed, will again be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list until the NFL, NFL makes the final decision on discipline.

Keanu  7:40

The browns General Manager John Dorsey drafted Hunt for the Chiefs in 2017 when Dorsey was the team’s General Manager.

7:48

He quoted “my relationship and interaction with Kareem says 2016 in college was an important part of this decision making process. But we then did extensive due diligence with many individuals including clinical professionals to have a better understanding of the person he is today. And whether it was printed to sign him,” Dorsey said. There are two important

8:09

factors: One is that Kareem took full responsibility for his egregious actions and show true remorse, and secondly just as importantly, he’s undergoing and is committed necessary professional treatment in a plan that has been clearly laid out for him

Derrick  8:26

Hunt, 23 apologize to the woman in the February incident. The Chiefs organization and his family in an interview with ESPN following his release. Did you see that interview?

Keanu 8:40

I did not I don’t watch too much T.V. nowadays.

Derrick 8:45

Oh okay, He apologize again in the brown statement on Monday. “First off, I would like to once again apologize for my actions last last year what I did, what what I did was wrong and inexcusable. That is not the man I was raised to be and I’ve learned a lot great deal from the from that experience. I certainly should have been more truthful about it after the fact. I am extremely grateful that John Dorsey the and Jimmy Haslam and Cleveland Browns organization are granting me the opportunity to earn their trust and represent the organization in the best way possible on and off the field,” he said.

Keanu   9:41

yeah, I think I think it’s great that he’s getting another opportunity you know, to play to play again ,and plus being signed by the Browns that’s another big big move for the Browns too

Derrick  9:55

Yeah what I mean according to them they have a quarterback

Keanu  9:59

Yeah

Derrick  10:00

they have running back

Keanu 10:02

they have running backs

Derrick 10:04

because now they’re like

Keanu  10:04

They have Nick Chubb.

Derrick 10:07

should we get a receiver?

Keanu  10:08

Yeah I think I think

Derrick 10:11

which Antonio brown from the Steelers

Keanu 10:16

yeah

Derrick 10:17

requested for a trade today

Keanu 10:19

I heard the Raiders though might get him. The Raiders have highest interest in him

Derrick 10:22

That make our boy Jenkins happy? *Derrick laughs*

Keanu 10:24

Yeah, definitely.

10:28

Hunt also said, “I’m committed to following the necessary steps to learn and to be a better and healthier person from the situation. I also understand the expectations that the Browns have clearly laid out, in that I have to earn my way back to the NFL. I’m a work in progress as a person but I’m committed to taking advantage of the support systems. I have in place to become the best and healthier version of myself.”

10:52

Dorsey said the Browse fully understand and respect the complexity of questions and issues in signing a player with Kareem history and do not condone his actions

11:03

“Given what we know about Kareem through our extensive research, we believed he deserves a second chance but certainly with the understanding that he has to go through critical and essential steps to become a performing member of this organization. Aside from what the NFL determines from an ongoing investigation,” Dorsey says

11:23

Hunt led the NFL rushing at 2017 as a rookie with 1227 yards and 8 touchdowns and helping Kansas City qualify for the playoffs. He also had 53 receptions for 455 yards and three touchdowns. Last season he rushed for 824 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games. Now seven receiving touchdowns before he was released.

Derrick 11:47

damn..

Keanu 11:50

I mean It’s good, it’s definitely good he’s coming back. I mean,

Derrick 11:53

Yeah

Keanu  11:54

You know I understand, you know one action, people will just you know, call you by that after like an abuser or something you know what saying I’m glad he’s getting another chance to like he said kind of like build is a build up this character, you know?

Derrick 12:18

Yeah

Unknown Speaker  12:17

You know, he does not like he said, That’s not the man he was raised to be

Derrick 12:25

right

Keanu 12:26

you know, so it’s good that he has another chance with the Browns,

Derrick 12:30

Yeah

Keanu  12:31

Is there anything you want to say?

Derrick 12:33

Oh no I’m good.

Keanu  12:35
