The Chancellor Village, that broke ground In November of 2000, is continuing to progress. Chancellor Village is the senior care facility that is being built on the northern section of the Cerritos campus.
The spot chosen for the care facility is currently a pile of dirt that seems to be getting bigger and bigger. Trucks loaded with fill are constantly bringing dirt to raise the ground level approximately three feet to meet specifications.
According to Peter Hardash, vice president of business services, some legal matters still need to be taken care of. The developers need a title clearance.
Although it doesn’t seem that much is being done on the project, construction is set to begin later this month. Hardash said, “the architects are finishing up the drawings and we are ready and eager to get this milestone construction underway.
