Men’s Soccer: Falcons beat L.A. City, 2-1

It was a 1-1 tie until the last ten minutes of the game.

Falconsí defender Ivan Cano scored on a free kick to give the menís soccer team a 2-1 victory over host L.A. City College Friday.

Cerritos forward Nestor Elias said, “Fridayís game was really tough. We gave it all we had and got the win.

“Weíre starting to look like a real team now, because everybodyís on the same page.”

Elias assited Angel Piazziís goal in the first half to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead.

“This Friday will be a real test for us, ” added Elias.

“We will be playing against LA Harbor, who is ranked third in the SCC division.”

The Falcons (6-6-2, 1-1-1 SCC ) are more than halfway through the season with only seven games to go.

Cerritos will play at El Camino College on Tuesday and come back home on Friday to host the Seahawks.
