“I think our offense was strong, it’s just that El Camino is a very good team,” said Teresa Ortega, Women’s volleyball coach.
The Falcons lost the game last Friday to El Camino. The Falcon women played really good but El Camino played a little better making this Cerritos first loss.
“It was a good learning experience we had never loss. We thought we were unbeatable so it was a positive instead of a negative, because we know we have to work harder if we want to come out on top and we also had a lot of injuries,” said Nancy Marin, undecided.
They are 4-1 in conference and 5-3 overall.
Nancy Forgan led the team in eight kills but that still wasn’t enough for them to win.
“It made us reevaluate how we practice and woke up a lot of people,” said Forgan, Education major.
On Wednesday, the Falcons will have a alumni game for some of the past players who will be playing against the current players. The game will start at 5 p.m. in the Cerritos College gymnasium.
The Falcons will also have a game this Friday at Pasadena.
