Students who arrive at school in the early morning, and also commute here do not have time for a well-balanced breakfast.
At least not as much as those who have classes later on in the day.
But on Aug. 27, early students had a chance to have a little bite to eat at the Early Bird event in Falcon Square.
Dean Ackland, coordinator of Student Activities, said, “It’s a great way to brighten (students’) mornings and give them some breakfast.”
Richard Rodriguez, faculty, supports the Early Bird event and states that he “enjoys the breakfast for free.”
Even the school police rushed over as they saw the free doughnuts stand.
The students that have no time for breakfast because they are rushing to school also enjoyed the free sugary breakfast treat.
Elizabeth Silva, animal science major, said, “It’s a wonderful idea for the new students.”
Aaron Aufdenburg, psychology major, said, “It’s great, and it’s a free breakfast.”
People passing by looked at the stand and not knowing what it was, ignored it from fear of being tricked into signing up for a credit card, or prepaid phone.
But when Ackland yelled “Free donuts,” they rushed over to see the variety of what they had.
