If a Cerritos College wants to graduate with a ceremony, they better hurry up.
The deadline to graduate with a ceremony is March 2 at 6:30 p.m.
The deadline to graduate without a ceremony is April 3 at 6:30 p.m.
“There’s no way to know unless you petition,” stated Rebecca Pange, the intermediate typist clerk.
According to Pange, the reason there are different dates is due to the hassle of organizing the event.
It is part of the reason the counselors need petitions as soon as possible.
“I heard the ceremony is quite nice. I also know that getting your A.A. will end up benefiting you in the long run.” shared Vincent Cross, undeclared major.
