Homecoming luncheon for club reps

With homecoming around the corner, so are the activities.

“When you are involved in school, it becomes more than just school and home,” coordinator of Student Activities Dean Ackland expressed at this year’s ASCC luncheon.

The luncheon is where representatives of clubs come together and say a few things about their clubs or events and what they can contribute to homecoming.

There have been 52 years of homecoming events and Ackland is optimistic for this year his expectations are a great deal of participation and there is a great theme.

This year’s homecoming theme is “Animated favorites,” a theme that seems to be a good choice according to Ackland and ASCC President Oscar Franco.

Oscar organized last year’s floats and is excited to do it again this year to meet new people from other clubs and come together.

When it comes to homecoming, one can’t forget the homecoming court.

Applications for float and court are available on Sept. 21 at 8:30 a.m. and the deadline is Oct. 1 at 4:30 p.m.

The homecoming elections are on Oct. 7 and 8.

The homecoming game is against Riverside at 7 p.m. and with the winning streak the Falcons have had so far, it looks like it should be a good game.

With all the activities coming up, Homecoming 2009 should be unforgettable one.
