The Career Services Center invited students, as well as the general public, to attend its annual Fall Job Fair that will be held on Oct. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the library sidewalk.

The event is free.

More than 30 employers are scheduled to be there, including representatives from Allstate Insurance, Best Buy, the Disney College Program, the Los Angeles Police Department and Norm Reeves Honda.

Student Placement Specialist Christina The said, “We will (also) have five departments from school like Automotive and DSPS.”

Career Services has been offering several workshops in preparation for the job fair.

The last one will be on Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Assessment Center.

“For more information (on all the events), students can go to www.cerritos.edu/career-services, click on ‘Job Placement’, and then on Fall Job Fair,” The added.

“I would like to emphasize how fortunate we were to attract more than 30 employers (during these hard times),” she said. “I would also encourage students to explore all the different career options (that will be available).”

Teaching major Christopher Ocampo said, “I think it’s excellent for people that are trying to look for a job and can’t go out and find one.”

Free parking will be available during the job fair in the white stalls located in lot C-10.

Those interested are encouraged to dress professionally and bring their resumes.
