The Year of the Tiger, will be celebrated in the Spring Festival hosted at Cerritos College, in the Student Center, March 13, at 12 noon.
The festival will be Co-hosted by, Cerritos College, the Chinese Culture Association of Southern California and the Cerritos Chinese School, in an effort to bring the community and the college together.
The event will be celebrated with traditional dishes(for purchase), a variety of performances that will include a traditional lion dance, traditional songs, dances, musical instruments, and martial arts.
Followed by a Royal Fashion Show, that features historical Chinese Royal Court gowns, and dresses, as well as contemporary dresses from Asian cultures including Chinese, Korean, Filipino and Vietnamese.
Also cultural workshops, that will consist of activities such as calligraphy, brush painting and lantern making that will allow to explore and learn from other cultural heritages.
Free parking, and admission, will be available, the event is open for all ages and everyone, the event will end at 4 p.m.
