Faculty members from schools such as Cal State Dominguez Hills, Argosy University, Concordia University and Academy of Art University were present at Cerritos College on Nov. 20 to speak about their programs to interested students.
“We are trying to promote the next step for the students attending Cerritos,” Concordia University Transfer Counselor Jose Hernandez said.
He continued with, “I know a lot of people know the popular names or state schools but the students should weigh their options in terms with the different types of education and opportunities.”
Faculty members also expressed their best programs for students interested in a particular major.
Cal State Dominguez Hills Outreach Officer Pilar Simi said, “Our business, liberal studies, sociology, human services, communications and criminal justice programs are our biggest programs.”
She continued with the requirements to transfer, “Students have to complete oral and written communication, critical thinking and our math, which means taking Math 110A or higher.
