Cerritos College students, faculty, staff and community members line up to donate blood at the American Red Cross Bloodmobile in front of the Cerritos College Bookstore from April 23-26.
The goal for Cerritos College is not only to save lives but to also win the yearly club competition.
This is the final week of the competition and the winning club will be announced at the Spring Awards Banquet, May 4th.
That club will receive the crystal blood drop award and a pizza party.
For the last 15 years, Cerritos College has been in the top three donating colleges including the universities in Southern California but never have never been number one.
Students are encouraged to make this the year for Cerritos College to win.
From start to finish, donating blood takes 30 to 45 minutes.
The ARC Bloodmobile will be collecting blood from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
