Can we fast forward to 2020 or just a few years ahead, can we imagine the headlines? Extra, Extra this just in, the Internet is taking over the world, bahaha, it’s evil! 

No, most of us can’t imagine something we love so dearly, something we can hardly go a day without harming us, but it already is!

The Internet is probably the one thing that harms humanity the most!

Steps to control this monster (the Internet) need to be take before it gets out of control. 

It is the monster behind the tragedy in the music/film industries.

Due to its uncontrolled nature illegal downloading, uploading and sharing is happening and keeps harming anything and everything having to do with music and film.

Take the “Save Your Radio” campaign, if we dig through everything we will find that the reason behind the labels trying to squeeze money out of radio stations now, is because it is so hurt by pirating, which the internet makes easy to do.

How about movie theaters or video stores, yes prices have been up due to the Internet, and yes more renting places are closing due to the Internet’s ability to share a movie with you.

The other side of the coin is also horrible, anyone can be on the Internet at any given time and it is so quick and easy to find information about anyone, even minors! 

There are far too many stories about people being too trusting and getting their lives taken away or their identities stolen because of the Internet!

How many more kidnappings, rapes and killings need to happen before our government does something to control the Internet?

If radio, TV and newspapers are controlled and censored, the Internet needs to be censored as well.

The Internet is just a saturated garbage with far too much negativity.

Real journalism, broadcasting and creativeness needs to be respected and separated from the Internet, and uneducated bloggers, YouTube and stuff of that nature. 

Yes, it is entertaining, but not when there’s far too much too of one thing. 

Let me add one more thing, how about time, it takes over people’s time, instead of walking outside enjoying the weather, some people rely on the internet to spend their time with, Facebook, MySpace and Twitter, the most talked-about networking sites. 

Whatever happened to going out to events and meeting people, networking like that?

Besides the fact that you can re-connect with old friends, it’s a waste, besides if you really wanted to re-connect the yellow pages used to be the way. 

It is just a waste of time, energy and sanity… the Internet. 

There are pros and cons and a great debate about the Internet and its abilities but the way I see it, nothing good will prosper out of our beloved communication tool, if it is not controlled.
