Not everyone wants to see your bearclaws

Feet—everybody has them, everyone uses them and I can’t stand them.

Other then being some of the dirtiest parts on a human’s body they just aren’t the best thing to put on display regardless of what the old saying says about putting your best foot forward.

Everyone has seen, at one point, someone sitting in the passenger seat of a car with their feet hanging out the windows.

It seems like distracted driving is not the problem, but more like disgusted driving is.

You wouldn’t hang anything else out of the window, why would one hang their feet?

Everyday, it seems as though sandals become an accepted part of society, and at the beach they may seem fit, but when it is 35 degrees and raining, are sandals the smartest choice, really?

When did it become ok for people to walk around in sandals everyday, you are at school, work, a wedding, show some respect and wear some shoes, this isnt the 60s, hippie. At very least put some socks on and hide those bearclaws.

According to an article published on ABCNews.com a University of Colorado study proved that feet are amongst the most popular places for germs to hang out on a person’s body.

Some other fun facts about the wretched things, on a pair of feet there are more than 250,000 sweat glands that produce up to a half pint of moisture each day, so think about the next time the next time you are watching a dating show and “casanova,” tries to sweep her off her feet with his mouth.

Now some may be thinking, my feet are great, they don’t sweat and I get a pedicure every week, you just might be doing more harm than good.

According to excerpts from an article entitled “Mycobacterium fortuitum: The Ugly Secret of Pedicures” from the Universtiy of Wisconsin-Madison’s Department of Bacteriology website, ‘Mycobacterium fortuitum is a type of rapidly growing mycobacteria.

What makes things even more interesting is the way the mycrobacteria is spread.

The bacterium is not spread from person to person. Rather, humans acquire it from the environment.

One of the largest outbreaks of Mycobacterium fortuitum took place in a California nail salon.

While the answer is not to due away with feet all together, there has to be a happy medium be barefoot at home, the beach and during hot weather but when you do, make sure you arent in the middle of a crowd you never know when your germ sponges  might be contracting friends.
