Part of being in college is being independent. With that being said, college students need to learn to be resourceful and use what’s around them to find their classes.

Creating mandatory tours would not only be a waste of time and personnel, it would create even more laziness in students.

Most students who enter Cerritos College are high school graduates and if a 17 or 18-year old student can’t use a map to find his classes then maybe he isn’t prepared enough for college.

And the argument for Cerritos being a big campus can simply be bypassed because for the most part all classes in a general field are usually around the same area.

Henceforth, a student looking for his English 101 class shouldn’t be anywhere near the football field.

For students who want to complain about not having enough time to look for classes, then they are making a claim that is absolutely ludicrous.

The campus is open during the summer and future students could come then and familiarize themselves with the campus. Or is hitting the beach to work on your tan more important?
