No is above the law expect for Monsanto

In recent weeks when America was debating about such taboo topics as gay rights that catches everyone’s attention and meanwhile while everybody is distracted by media’s cheap use, president Obama discretely signs the Monsanto Protection Act.

According to ibtimes.com, the Monsanto Protection Act bars federal courts from stooping the sale or planting of controversial genetically modified or seeds, no matter what health issues concerning GMOs in the future. (bit.ly/100cHdx)

This puts Monsanto and other biotech companies above the law being protected from lawsuits and even the US government from halting the sale, planting or distributing of GMO seed.

This is hypocritical of nation that preaches that the law should treat everybody equally and yet Monsanto gets special protection from being prosecuted.

Most people didn’t even know what the Monsanto Protection act is Act, it went unnoticed as if it’s not important to have the ability to stop the farming of GMOs “Genetically Modified Organisms” that may cause harm to us.

The idea of eating fake food that may cause harm to our body is clearly unethical, humans are always trying to play god by trying to splice genes at the cost of what a cost effective business product in exchange for our health?

In comparison to rats on a natural diet, during a study from a French university team that was published by “Food and Toxicology” when feeding lab rats a GMO like maize for a year straight the rats ended up getting complications such as large golf ball sized tumors, breast cancer, liver and kidney damage and a shorter lifespan.

If this happens to lab rats one can only correlate that this can happen to humans as well under the Monsanto GMO diet.

Cancer, tumors, and other health risks are already a issue in our society its probably not smart to add to the problem.

This new Monsanto Protection act will take away the constitutional mandate that judges have to protect the environment and consumer rights.

Its stuff like this that gets passed that get people to think that our government doesn’t have out best interest and that just makes me think how much dirty money is involved in politics provided by the big corporations that try to run America.

This is just as important or more as gay rights and the people of our nation need to wake up and make this topic just as mainstream.

Fall 2014 I am Alan Leyva, I'm pretty much a social junkie. I use my talkative social skills to get people comfortable in interviews. Strictly journalism is fun but I pretty much just want to be mainly in Public Relations as I choose my emphasis at a Cal state level. I live by Hollywood pretty much the entertainment capital of the world so why not be a publicist.
