Fans react to Lex Luthor Jr.

With almost three months left for the awaited clash between the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel, fans of these beloved heroes negatively react to Jesse Eisenberg’s glimpse as Lex Luthor.

It’s no surprise for the audience of the superhero movie genre to come across a negative comment on Eisenberg’s Luthor in the few days on social media since there has already been negative reactions of the casting way before the movie came to production.

We can’t forget the backlash of Ben Affleck’s casting as Batman and Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman until the studio revealed the costumes of such characters and pessimist comments started to fade away.

Personally, my dream casting involved Josh Brolin as Batman and Joaquin Phoenix as Lex Luthor, but we can’t get everything in life, am I right?

Just like the rest, I was disappointed of the casting but not raged or bullied the actor’s Twitter all the time.

Since the audience has gone a small step closer to the actor’s or studio through the Internet, fans take advantage to angrily type their tantrums and others coming to the point of death treats (take Josh Weadon’s case for example) directly to their account.

It’s acceptable that many wanted Bryan Cranston for Superman’s opposite instead by protesting with the “I said Heisengerg, not Eisenberg” meme.

But making virtual campaigns for a recasting is absolutely laughable.

Even if the audience may be the film’s final judge, they should keep in mind that everyone deserves an opportunity and that most actors are always willing to bring amazing performances.

Now, everyone worrying about Eisenberg’s joke-y Luthor apparently seems that they had never seen Gene Hackman’s cartoonish performance in 1978’s Superman.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Most of them are millennials.

But let’s give it a shot, Eisengberg may bring the best Lex Luthor yet.

(Heath Ledger, anyone?)

We can’t criticize a movie that we haven’t even watched yet, and if the fans know their thing, then they should save their final criticism until the end of the credits.

As we can all see, the Internet has and will always be a gateway for people to express their hate-speech and argument over nonsense issues while lacking knowledge.

But the new cape crusader itself couldn’t explain it better in his famous quote in the cult-classic film Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back: “The Internet is a communication tool used the world over where people can come together to b**** about movies (…) with one another.”
