The men’s tennis team played at Saddleback College Thursday afternoon and had finishing scores of what Coach Alvin Kim expected.
Although he was happy overall with his team’s peformance, Coach Kim was disappointed that his No. 3 doubles team lost.
“We consider ourselves to be a doubles-driven offense. We will work on that today,” Kim said.
Outside of the top player sophomore Derek Siddiqui, Johnny Chi, who is at No. 2 for Cerritos College, also won his match.
Kim said Kyle Porter is s slowly getting back into shape, also ended up with a close third set win.
With another scrimmage at home on Feb 1., the men’s tennis team will start the season against Cypress College at 2 pm.
