Cerritos College womens tennis vs Santa Monica College

On Feb, 1 Cerritos College women’s tennis was skirmishing with Santa Monica College at 2 p.m in the Cerritos tennis court getting ready for there pre season that going to start on Feb, 3 at 2 p.m and will go against Orange Coast College.

Team captain Bryanna Thompson which major is undecided attended the skirmishing game to support her team that was playing against Santa Monica College that day.

Thompson which is unable to play after injuring her self in a game against Rio Hondo College said ” am here today to support my team even though am currently injured and unable to play”

She also said that most of her team are new but she will be supportive and ready to give them advised during the game with Orange Coast College and season.

And added “I think being together as a team and going to away matches will bring us together as a team and help us get motivated.”

Thompson said that she is sad that she is currently injured not able to play with Santa Monica College on today skirmishing, knowing that her leg still needs three weeks to recover.

Another player that is on the female tennis team playing against Santa Monica College and first season player Diana Casiano majoring in criminal justice explain that today game it’s more than a warm up from a actual game.

Casiano also said about being on the Cerritos team ” I met a lot of great girl’s and excited but nervous because its college tennis knowing that I have much to learn.”

She also explain that they will be heading out for their first official game that going to start Feb,3 at 2 p.m against Orange Coast College but also happy that she has a great tennis coach that helping them out.

Casiano also said about the away game against Orange Coast College “I think everyone is nervous having the opportunity to prove them self to the school.”

But she also said “Am looking forward on working hard practicing as the season continues go falcons.”

Head coach Alvin Kim said  “Am happy that am going to help the female team on their skill but I would like if they been with me longer to prepare them for the pre season.”

Kim also explaind that his goal for this pre season is to improve the team so when next season comes they have a actually fighting chance to take it all the way.

And he also said “but with practice and determination any thing is possible and that’s one of my goal I have determine this season.”
