As the spring semester is reaching the end, the campus is shifting focus toward celebrating the milestones of the class of 2026.
While the main ceremony often dominates the conversation, the upcoming weeks are packed with events designed to help students transition from the classroom to the commencement stage, beginning with practical preparations and participating in community-specific celebrations.
The festivities kicked off on April 28 with Grad Fair 2026. This essential one-stop shop provided graduates with the opportunity to handle logistics like purchasing regalia and receiving their commencement guests’ tickets.
The Grad Fair serves as the official starting line for the graduation season, ensuring students are equipped for the formal ceremonies ahead.
Following the fair, the focus turns to the Cerritos Complete Program Ceremony on May 12.
This event honors those who have navigated their academic requirements through the program, marking a pivotal moment for students as they prepare to transfer to four-year institutions or enter the workforce. It is a dedicated space to recognize the discipline required to reach this academic finish line.
The energy continues on May 13 with Gradapalooza, a ceremony specifically highlighting the achievements of EOPS students.
This event is more than a standard recognition; it is a celebration of resilience for one of the most vital student communities on campus.
Gradapalooza focuses on the personal narratives and symbolic moments that define the EOPS journey, illustrating how the program’s support directly impacts student retention and long-term success.
The season reaches its conclusion with the 2026 Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 22.
