British artist Harry Styles releases long-awaited fourth studio album “Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally.” The album comes after his Grammy Award-winning album “Harry’s House” in 2022. Fans around the world were thrilled to finally get new music from Styles after years of radio silence. The album leans more into dance music and electronic sounds but still keeps Styles’ meaningful and emotional lyrics.
Styles teased the new album in a way that he knew would capture much attention and have his fans thrilled for his return. In December 2025, a video posted to his YouTube titled “Forever, Forever” showed the final moments of his monumental tour “Love on Tour” that occurred between September 2021 through July 2023. The ending of the video had a message that said “We belong together.” Fans puzzled over the message and tried deciphering it to no avail and had to wait and find out. Posters started showing up in cities like London and New York. Slowly it turned into a scavenger hunt for fans and gathered them together.
Finally, in January 2026, Styles revealed his fourth studio album with the track list and album cover art. The first single off the album was “Aperture.” Fans quickly worked hard to achieve and succeed in getting the single to debut No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the U.K. singles chart.
“Aperture” shows how different Styles wanted to go for this era. Fans are used to his soft rock and guitar productions in previous albums. “Aperture” focuses on an electronic sound that builds progressively, showing that need for wanting to be surrounded by people you cherish. It lets go of stress through music and movement. Because it’s layered and intricate, it’s very different for Styles and normal pop radio songs.
The rest of “Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally.” is very heavily influenced by dance music. Artists you can hear through this album and understand the influence of include Kylie Minogue, Daft Punk, David Bowie and more. “Ready, Steady, Go!” brings these influences forward with a fast tempo and strong rhythm, even leaning into a Donna Summer sound. The song itself is very high energy and upbeat, making you want to dance. Another track, “American Girls,” leans more into pop storytelling. It focuses on relationships and cultural expectations, something Styles has often explored in his music.
“Coming Up Roses” is one of the more emotional songs. It pulls you back to older albums from Styles and shows that while exploring these new sounds, he still highlights the sound he debuted with. The song reflects on growth, moving forward and getting past difficulties and struggles. It’s a metaphorical song that wants the listener to find the light at the end of the tunnel. Even the title has a metaphorical meaning that everything is going to turn out well. Roses even have a symbolic meaning, with it meaning success and beauty, just like the song.
Although there are no official features on the album, Styles found a way to have background vocals for this album similar to how Chappell Roan was a background vocalist on a few Olivia Rodrigo songs. Ellie Rowsell, or as you may know her from the band “Wolf Alice,” is a background vocalist on “Taste Back,” “Season 2 Weight Loss” and “Aperture.” The House Gospel Choir are background vocalists on “Are You Listening Yet?” and “Paint by the Numbers.” These collaborations help add more depth into the album and sound like fans singing along to these songs.
Many fans were hoping that Styles would do a tribute to Liam Payne, his former and late bandmate who passed away in October 2024. Although there’s no direct tribute, fans interpreted the lyric “kids with water guns” from the song “Paint by the Numbers” as referencing Styles’ time in One Direction. Although this is just a fan theory and not an official statement.
Overall, “Kiss All the Time. Disco Occasionally.” shows a clear shift in Styles’ direction for this album. Styles wanted something bold and unique for this album. He hung his pop and rock roots for a more danceable album. It really connects with the quote from when he teased the album in December 2025, where he wanted to be together with fans. Styles wanted fans to get up and dance and not be in a solemn mood.
Fans who have listened to Styles for his music career all the way from his X Factor beginnings to now show how much he’s grown and evolved as an artist. This album is yet another step forward in his discography, showing that he wanted change for this album. Styles wanted fans to be happy and joyful with this album. Instead of repeating his formulas that helped him get to where he is now, he took a risk by changing his sound. Styles explores new ideas, new feelings and new emotions. Easily, this album could be yet another contender for a Grammy as well as be a defining album of the year. In the end, get your dancing shoes and turn up the volume when listening to this album.
