2022 Women’s History Month Essay Contest
Theme: Refusing to be Silenced
Prompt: Write an essay of at least 750 words addressing the following prompt: What does it mean for women today to refuse to be silenced? You may write about any woman/female-identifying person.
All students are encouraged to enter.
Requirements:
? An MLA formatted essay of 750 words or more
? Include your student ID number, email address, and phone number on the
first page of the document; do not include your name anywhere on the document
? Please submit to Kate St. John, [email protected]. Please put “WHM Essay Submission”
in the subject line.
Deadline: Friday, March 4, 2022
Prizes:
1st prize: $500
2nd prize: $300
3rd prize: $200
Honorable Mention: $100
Winners will be announced at a Board meeting in April.
