The Cerritos College wrestling team returned to Palomar College to gain a win over the Comets on Wednesday after the Falcons won the Southern Regional Duals last Saturday at Palomar as well.
The Falcons won five of the six weight classes to post a 30-11 win over the Comets to improve their record to 5-0 and are now 1-0 in their conference.
Sophomore Jesse Ponce, from Cerritos, received a 20-5 win in the 157-pounds weight class, freshman Ramon Estrada won 14-7 at 167 pounds, and sophomore Eric Savageau got a win of 13-2 victory at 174 pounds.
Freshman Thomas Estrada captured a win via pin in 6 minutes 41 seconds in the 184-pound class, while sophomore Jose Lopez received a forfeit at 285 pounds. Freshman Steven Cabanas, got a 5-4 win at 133 pounds, and sophomore Tilman Tran won his 141-pound match, 11-3.
Cerritos will face face Santa Ana College next on Wednesday.
