The Falcons easily takedown the Mounties with a final score of 7-2, which now extends their winning streak to nine consecutive games.

Coming into the matchup, the Falcons had an extra week to prepare for their matchup against Mt. San Antonio College.

Due to College of the West double booking consecutive games on the same day, resulting in College of the West canceling a game against the Falcons on Mar. 6.

Although, according to coach Kim, the Falcons did intensify their practices throughout the game-less week to make up for the free week.

The extra week paid dividends, as the Falcons easily handed the Mounties their sixth consecutive loss.

Despite the additional time, the Falcons are still riddled with injuries and, as a precaution, coach Kim strategically decided to rest some of the injured players.

One of the injured players that suffered an injury throughout the match was freshman Milos Zoric.

Zoric managed to win his first set against Adrian Peralta (Mt. San Antonio College) but eventually suffered a leg injury throughout his second set.

“I got injured, so I got injured on my leg, I couldn’t run very well so I lost (my) second set and coach told me to stop because the team was doing good we already had enough points overall,” Zoric said.

Currently riding the momentum, Coach Kim and the Falcons seem ready to take on their next opponent.

“We’ve been talking about Mesa for the past two weeks and we know that’s the big match we need to win and I think we’re ready,” Coach Kim said.

Now sitting with an overall record of 10-2, the Falcons look to add another win to their record, as they head to San Diego Mesa College (9-4) for a South Coast Conference showdown on Mar. 14. at 2p.m.
