The Falcons controlled the counter as defender Jenna Santos created chances for her team, but the Roadrunners picked up the physical play.
Santos came in on the left wing, looked for a teammate to pass to in the box and was fouled hard by Roadrunners forward Willow Jones which resulted in a yellow card.
When asked if the the Roadrunners players were players were going after her Santos said, “I’m not really sure but it’s part of soccer I guess.
The Falcons controlled possession of the ball.

The Falcons pressed on as defender Ellablu Lopez kept the ball in the offensive zone for her team.
The Roadrunners took over the game in the second half.
Following the game against the Roadrunners Lopez said, “In the first half we were a lot more organized and we were a lot like strong-headed mind. But towards the second half I feel like that energy just dropped and then everybody got tired so no one was like staying organized in the back nor no one was pressing up in the front.”
When asked about her game-winning goal Fuentes replied “okay, so I see five other team players and I see the goalie for a split second and she’s very far out from the box. So I was like, this is my chance and I just shot it and it just perfectly went over her”.
When asked about her thoughts on the game head coach Yvette Vascones said, “it’s disappointing. I think we dominated the whole game and we just didn’t put away our chances again”.
