Cody Banks isn’t your everyday kid, trained by the Central Intelligence Agency at a special summer camp, for children interested in spying. Cody has been trained from day one to serve his country when he is needed.
The C.I.A. has had several of its undercover agents killed during an attempt to find out about the mission of E.R.I.S. and why they have a scientist building for them.
The C.I.A. has only one choice, to call in Cody Banks, played by (Frankie Muniz, from FOX Malcolm in the Middle). To find out what Dr. Connors (Martin Donovan from Pipe Dream) is building for the villain Mr. Brinkman (Ian McShane, from Sexy Beast).
The C.I.A. send handler Ronica Miles (Angie Harmon, from NBC Law and Order) to activate Agent Cody Banks. Cody’s mission is to get close to Natalie Connors (Hilary Duff, from Disney’s Hit Lizzie McGuire) so that he can get invited to her party she’s having. There’s just one problem; Cody can’t talk to girls.
Cody Banks transfers to Natalie’s Preparatory School. Cody does his best to get invited to Natalie’s birthday party. First, he attempts to impress her with his oh so wrong understanding of poetry, his big mistake.
Next, Cody shows off his driving skills, he may be an ace stunt driver but fails to score any points. Then when all hope is lost, Natalie accidentaly falls from a ladder, and luckily Cody is there to save the day.
At Natalie’s party Cody finds out what Mr. Brinkman has Dr. Connors doing. While this happens Cody secret is revealed when they notice that his fighting techniques are C.I.A. moves.
The C.I.A takes Cody off the case, then Natalie starts to like Cody while Mr. Brinkman sends Molay (Arnold Vosloo, from The Mummy) to get Natalie to help inspire Dr. Connors to work faster.
Agent Cody Banks is filled with action pack fight scenes and page loving scenes. For anyone who ever wants to be James Bond as a kid here’s your chance to see what a kid size Bond can do.
Frankie Muniz has all the skill to play this part. He can kick butt, ride a board, and drive a car like a stunt man. He may not be Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan but Muniz has given spy movie’s a new Special Agent.
In the long tradition of spy movie’s, this movie gives us are own type of Bond for the new millennium. With a new type of Bond girl, we see Hilary Duff isn’t your usual Secret Agent girlfriend, this girl can hold her own.
She can handle it all from the heat of a battle or the cool to quiet moments of her first kiss. Duff gives the world a whole new side of herself from her television show personality.
Angie Harmon, is great in this movie, she’s hot and sexy the perfect secret agent partner. Every time she walks into the scene the temperature rises and it starts to get hot in here. She helps Cody get a feel for the spy game and get a hand on his ability to talk to women.
