Cerritos College students over the age of 25 who find themselves back in school after a long break in their education have found financial help in the eight scholarships offered by the Re-Entry Resource Program.
These eight scholarships, which range from $500 to $1400, are available to all students who are currently enrolled in the program.
Re-Entry Resource Specialist Shannon Estrada, who oversees the program, stated, “I encourage first time students over the age of 25, high school to college students, and anyone with a break in their education to join the program.”
With only a few requirements necessary these scholarships can be highly beneficial to those who need a little extra help paying for school.
Cerritos College student and current member of the program Kristen Hammel said, “I plan on applying for as many scholarships as possible especially those available to women over 35.”
For information regarding both the scholarships and Re-Entry Resource Program students are encouraged to contact Shannon Estrada at the Career Services Center or attend the Sept. 10 scholarship workshop.
