The Transfer Center held a University Mini Fair for the students who are looking to transfer, on Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The mini fair had 24 colleges and universities in attendance in order to give Cerritos students info about their school, and what they can do too transfer to their school.
“The mini fair is for those who are looking to transfer to a school in the relatively close to the Cerritos College area, opposed to the mega fair, which had schools also from the Northern California, and even some out of state”, said Kristen Towhid of the Transfer Center.
Many schools gave information that students would probably not find out if they didn’t attend the event.
“We only accept students for to transfer for our associates and bachelor’s, so (Loma Linda) comes to these types of fairs to give students who are interested in healthcare the info they need to come to our school”, says Karen (who?) from Loma Linda University.
Business administration major Jonathan Reid benefitted from this fair.
“I’m trying to transfer to Cal State Dominguez Hills or CSULA, and this fair helped me by giving me information, like the classes and GPA I will need to transfer” said Reid.
For those who will need additional help on their applications, and questions on transferring, there will be a Cal State workshop on Nov. 22 in BE 17 from 1 to 5 p.m. and a UC workshop on Nov. 23 in CE 2 from 12 to 3 p.m.
