The 2001 Homecoming Court was announced Friday by the Associated Students of Cerritos College, and will be introduced at a ceremony Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Student Center.

The court is made of the top seven vote-getters in the election held Wednesday and Thursday.

The homecoming queen will be chosen from the seven finalists by the students of Cerritos College during voting on Oct. 17 and 18.

The homecoming court, listed in order of appearance on the ballot:

* Claudia Geldis – Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance

* Laura Weissenberg – Football

* Erica Cruz – Phi Theta Kappa

* Eileen Arencibia – WPMD Broadcasting

* Sarah Nord – Scholars Honors Club

* Varangana Punchiewa – International Students Association

* Betty Sanchez – Disabled Students Association

Voting will take place at three polling stations: the Student Center, the Social Sciences Patio and the Health Sciences building.

The polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Students must show their Cerritos College student I.D. card in order to cast a ballot.
