This week the men’s basketball team has suffered two losses, one against LA City (91-85) on Dec 4 and the other against Fullerton (77-72) on Saturday.

LA City is one of the top ranked teams this season in conference. The team is ranked No.1 in the state and No.5 in the country.

In the first half of the game against LA City Cerritos was not all there as a team, but managed to come back in the second half.

“Our guards need to rebound more,” Tony Roberts, guard.

The Falcons came back in the second half ready to play and put some points on the board.

Cerritos managed to out score LA City in the second half 54-44 in points.

Although the Falcons made effort in the second half they were defeated by LA City ending the game with a 91-85 score.

On Saturday night the Falcons suffered a second loss this week was against Fullerton, 77-72.

Cerritos started out by taking control and leading the game, but Fullerton soon made a comeback.

Fullerton went up to the free-throw line 45 times, while Cerritos only had 22.

The results of these two losses for the Falcons are that the team is now 6-4 overall.

“The game is a bench mark of how good we can be,” head coach, Gary Cain.

The Falcons talent will once again be challenged on Wednesday-Friday when they participate in the Rio Hondo Tournament at Rio Hondo.
