The Juliana Theory known for their emo sound on “Emotion is Dead” and “Music From Another Room” is back with a new album called, “Love”.
The band started back five years ago as a Pennsylvania side project. Previously before that, singer-guitarist Brett Detar resided in a Christian metal-core band called Zao. The other members in the band Chad Alan bassist, and guitarist’s Josh Kosker and Josh Fielder played in other bands, though it didn’t lasted long.
Their songs still have those emo lyrics but have a faster beat. Previous songs on their other albums were beaty but at a slower rate.
“In the Dark” is the only song on their CD, which is not new. The song was originally on the “Emotion is Dead” album.
The first radio single to hit airwaves is “Do You Believe Me?” with their rhythmic textures and introspective themes.
I think this is a great album, though some people may think previous albums were better. This album is a little more beaty then in the past. Some of the songs started up slow then fast. There are two songs towards the end of the album where it’s instrumental, which is nice.
The album is still just as relaxing and the words in them are just as good ask previous ones.
