Truth, justice and wild women

Truth, justice and wild women

Did Gary Condit’s well-rehearsed (yet overused) three-sentence sound bites shed any new light on the sudden and “mysterious” Shandra Levy disappearance?

Of course not.

Did Connie Chung accomplish anything with her nervous henpecking and dogged pestering of Condit, other than showing America how much she has declined as an investigative reporter and interviewer?

Of course not.

Did anybody really expect Condit to admit on national television that he was doing the Capitol Hill mattress tango with every tight skirt that passed his front office?

Of course not.

But what the hell, it made for a great hour of television.

Better than watching re-runs of the Drew Cary show on Fox Network.

There is no doubt Condit simply thought he was “addressing the concerns of his constituent” the intern… and the airline stewardess… and the election secretary… and the campaign worker… did I miss anybody?

The real question we should be asking is did he have anything to do with Levy’s disappearance.

Most people who have been monitoring this sordid affair have already made up their minds as to the who, what, where and when.

How and why are self explanatory to anybody with two minutes and an active fantasy life.

But so what?

Instead of asking about the intimate sexual details of a tail-chasing, self-righteous, son-of-a-Southern-Baptist-preacher scumbag congressman, why not concentrate on the real issue at hand?

Did Congressman Gary Condit kill Shandra Levy?

For those who are old enough, doesn’t it remind you of the question

“Who shot JR?”

Leave the sexual details of Condit’s horny existence to the tabloid newspapers and to the celebrity-stalking people who obsess over them.

The important thing is to find out what happened to Shandra Levy

It is time to bring peace and closure to her family and friends.

Let Condit’s wife deal with him.
