Hello,

My name is Jacqueline Oviedo this is my first time writing to anyone from the media, but I need to ask you a question.

Last year I registered for 12 units and by the start of the third week I ended up with 8 units.

This was a result of cancelled classes because of lack of enrollment.

Thanks to this problem I received less finacial aid and ended up working more then going to school making my plans to transfer longer than what I was expecting.

This fall 2001 the same thing happened two of my classes where dropped for the same reason. The teacher said we missed it by two students, and my second class was cancelled even though there was five people adding the class that day. My schedule for the whole semester has to change now because I have to look for other classes which are full or closed, I’ll never get out of Cerritos College.

Well, that’s it, after doing some research next semester I will be attending Cypress College.

Cerritos College needs to put a statment in there class schedule of class booklet in BOLD RED LETTERS “CLASSES MAYBE CANCELLED AFTER TWO WEEKS, BECAUSE OF BUGET CUTS SO PLEASE HAVE A BACK UP PLAN FOR THE SEMESTER.”

Last semester I didn’t say anything, I wonder if other students have had the same experience.
