What a time for Irish pub band Dropkick Murphys to celebrate than St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Boston, M. A.

Three sold out shows spanning over the entire weekend, along with a St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and a hockey game by the home team, Bruins.

This live recording is compiled of 26 tracks that are the best quality of the three memorable nights.

This album gives off the intensity of a live show, its makes you imagine what it would have been like to be present on any of the three nights.

The disc starts off with an intro that cuts into “For Boston,” which is an anthem about their hometown. “For Boston, For Boston, We Sing Our Proud Refrain, For Boston, For Boston, ‘Tis Wisdom’s Earthly Fame, For Here All Are One, And Our Hearts Are True”

The live CD covers a wide variety of songs in the Dropkick discography. Songs played are classics such as “Boys On The Docks,” “Barroom Hero,” “Finnegan’s Wake,” “Gangs All Here,” “Good Rats,’ and plenty of others including, “Nutty,” which is the theme song for the Boston Bruins.

From start to finish each song is played very well with lots of energy and enthusiasm. While listening you will find yourself singing along with every song just as if you were there.

Although the songs are performed as good as they are, it would not be a good representation of the band. For true Dropkick fans, your collection is not complete without it.
