International panel disusses business at Cerritos

Three guest speakers from around the world will convene at Cerritos College in order to share their “Insights into International Business and Employment.”

This free presentation is to be held Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm in the Library, room LC 155. Though this event is geared towards business majors, everyone is welcome to attend, though seating is limited, so arrive early to insure a spot.

Speakers are to include Kelly Carroll, Manager of the Cerritos Towne Center branch Starbucks store, John Faslow, President of the International Pacific College in New Zealand, and Gracielle Reynolds, CEO of EZ Cater, based out of Glendale.

These speakers are expected to share with the student body their experiences and knowledge of international business, a genuine opportunity for those with interests geared towards this area.

Carroll manages the Cerritos Starbucks store, which corporately owns over 900 coffee locations throughout the world. She is the Liaison to the Regional Learning Specialist, but you’ll have to attend the seminar to find out exactly what that means.

Dr. John Fanslow is a man with extensive experience when it comes to world travel and business. He went into Nigeria in the first group of Peace Corps volunteers sent there, and taught English there.

He spent 30 years training Peace Corps teachers as well as directing the graduate program for Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Languages. He has been published in books and periodicals, and he has been the President of the International Pacific College since 1998.

Reynold’s brings to the table insights on international business from the entrepreneurial point of view. She has started and currently run’s three successful companies, and is also involved in marketing collapsible catering carts of he husbands invention to companies around the world.

These three speakers with their varying backgrounds should provide a diverse, informative, and useful presentation to anyone planning to launch a career in international business, or any business at all for that matter.

“Insights into International Business …and Employment” promises to provide opportunities for business-minded students that they may not find any other time at Cerritos College. With free admission, you could only benefit by stopping by to take a look in the library.
