The ASCC sponsored Hoe Down Days is just around the corner.

The annual event transforms Cerritos College for at least one week into a western town full of entertainment and fanfare that shows how the west was fun.

The week will be full of western activities. Tuesday, the first day of activities will be Western Booth Day. The day will include carnival booths of all types that will benefits the schools clubs and organizations, the students from the clubs will be running the booths themselves.

For only 50 cents, you can give the games a try and enjoy the festivities. The day will also include a dunk tank, a wall to climb and even a walking game show with professor Gooch that always seems to draw a crowd.

Also happening on Tuesday is Activity Night, where beginning at 6:00 the night students of cerritos college are treated to Arby’s sandwiches and more chicanery and prizes from professor Gooch and Maureen the Puppet.

Wednesdays activities include the Chili Cook Off. at 10:30 where students and faculty attempt to boost antacid sales by making the best chilli they can for the contest.

After the cook off, starts The Mr. Cerritos Contest which is where Cerritos students strut their stuff in hopes of being the next Mr. Cerritos. Everyone is invited to attend these events they are both free of cost.

The Luncheon and Concert will be Thursday the last of the Hoe Down Days.

All activities are free to students with current cerritos college I.D.
