Cerritos’ new teaching program helps at-risk youth

Cerritos College has opened its doors to launch an Urban Teacher Fellowship, which is a component of the Cerritos College Teacher Trac Training Academy.

The program is meant to assist any at-risk youth in neighboring communities. Any member of the community between the ages of 17 through 24 that are at risk of either gang involvement or a current member of a gang are eligible for the program

Currently, Cerritos College has received a grant worth $490,230 from the Governor’s office of Gang  and Youth Violence.
